Lessons for Children in the Early

Lessons for early childhood plays a very important for the formation of skills and attitudes learned at a more advanced stage. In a lesson the teacher’s role is not merely provide information, but also directing and facilitating learning (the directing and facilitating learning) is more appropriate for the learning process. As stated by Mohammad Ali (2007) that learning is an effort by teachers to manipulate the environment for learning occurs at the individual student.

The concept of learning according to Corey (Sagala, 2003) is a process whereby one’s environment is intentionally organized to enable him to participate in a particular behavior in specific conditions or responses to certain situations, learning is a special subset of education. Meanwhile, according to Dimyati and Mudjiono “learning is the teacher in programmed activities in the instructional design, to make the students learn actively, which emphasizes the provision of learning resources’ (Sagala, 2003).

In Act No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System article 1 states that, “learning is a process of interaction with educators and learners learning resources in a learning environment.” Learning by Sudjana (2000) is an effort to educators to help learners perform learning activities. Surya (2004) states that, learning is a process conducted by an individual to acquire a new behavior changes as a whole, as a result of the individual’s own experience in the interaction with the environment. The definition shows that learning in an effort to obtain a change of behavior within the individual.

Next Sudjana explains that learning is a function of educators to learners membelajarkan of subject matter to achieve the learning outcomes that lead to learning effects. The definition of learning contains various functions such as help, guide, train, nurture, nurture, foster, encourage, establish, align, assess, and develop. These functions are performed by the learning and the responsibility of teacher educators, civil learning, trainers, so learners can make a change in him in accordance with learning objectives that are part of educational goals.

Understanding learning at the top, meaning that describes the dynamic interaction between the elements involved in the learning of educators, learners, materials, processes, outputs and impact of learning activities.

From some understanding of the above can be concluded that learning is an activity that includes teaching and learning. Learning activities based on systematically organized plan that includes learning objectives, learning materials and learning activities that include methods and instructional media, learning evaluation, and feedback evaluation of learning.

A lesson plan and its implementation need to consider matters related to learning how to learn (learning to learn), learn how to think (learning how to think), learn how to do (learning how to do), and learn how to work together and live together (learning how to live together).

In line with the development of early childhood, then the learning should emphasize four aspects mentioned above. Therefore, the learning is planned and implemented in the form of play. Lessons are prepared so fun, exciting, and democratic in order to attract children to engage in any learning activity. Children do not just sit quietly listening to teacher lectures, but they actively interact with various objects and other people in their environment, both physically and mentally.

According to Dunkin and Biddle (Sagala, 2003) the process of learning or teaching a class (classroom teaching) is in the instruction of four variables: (1) variable sign (presage variables) such as educators, (2) the variable context (context variables) such as students, school , and the community, (3) process variables (process variables) in the form of interaction of learners and educators, and (4) variable product (product variables) will be development of learners in the short and long term. The learning process will take place better if educators have two main competence competence competence substances learning materials and teaching methodologies.
